About the project:
Avalanche of Spirits: The Ghosts of Wellington is a documentary film from Ghost Knight Media, LLC.
This film tells the story of the growing desperation of passengers and employees aboard two Great Northern Railway trains that were stuck at the tiny railroad town of Wellington, Washington, during a nine-day snow storm that battered Stevens Pass in late February 1910. The passengers and employees were trapped on an avalanche-prone mountainside by the weather and desperate to find their way home. A century after the avalanche that killed them all, not much has changed. Many passengers remain trapped at Wellington – unable to make it Home. This is their story.
