Karen graduated from the University of the Ozarks in Arkansas with a double major in psychology and sociology. She has lived in various states throughout the south; as well as in the northeast in the New Jersey, New York City metropolitan area and Maine. Not only does Karen enjoy writing, but she was a soprano for the Shreveport Opera; and even had the pleasure of performing for President Bill Clinton and Sam Walton.

Kimberly cofounded Research Institute of the Paranormal (R.I.P.) with her husband Chris. R.I.P. is dedicated to investigating unknown and unexplained phenomenon in a scientific manner. The team remains unbiased during each investigation so that their own opinions do not affect the findings.
