In this episode of Paranormal Underground Radio, we talk with Katrina Weidman, paranormal investigator and former Paranormal State team member. At the time of our podcast, Katrina was a senior at Penn State earning a dual degree in Integrative arts with an emphasis in music production and Theater with an emphasis in performance. She originally wasn’t going to attend college, but after dropping a friend off at University Park and seeing the campus, she knew it was where she belonged. The next day she signed up for classes at Bucks County Community College, which she attended for two years before transferring to Penn State University Park in 2004. Besides being an investigator for the Paranormal Research Society, she’s been a member of the Penn State Snowboard club since 2004. In 2005 she joined The Lion 90.7 fm as a co-host for a variety of shows and voice over work.

In this episode of Paranormal Underground Radio, we talk with Ellen MacNeil, founder, lead investigator, and case manager for SPIRITS of New England. Ellen grew up being hopelessly addicted to horror movies, Dark Shadows, Hammer films from England with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, scary books, and questioning “what’s out there?” Now as an adult she is an avid fan of Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International, Paranormal State, and any other shows, documentaries, and books on the paranormal she can find! She knew her brother had been killed in Vietnam the day it happened as the Army did not come to their door until the next day: “He sent very powerful messages to prepare us for this news,” that opened up a whole new world to Ellen of the “unexplained.”

In this episode of Paranormal Underground Radio, we talk with Rosemary Breen of Psychic Revolution, where paranormal phenomena are the norm. Rosemary is the creator of the website Psychic Revolution, a name chosen by to reflect her view of what needs to happen across the paranormal industry. The Website is the natural extension of her academic research into the paranormal. Rosemary completed her Master of Education at Monash University, Australia, in 2009, and the subject of her dissertation was: The Nature, Incidence, Impact, and Integration of Spontaneous Paranormal Experiences. It is this research that forms the basis of Psychic Revolution. The thesis is based on an online survey that Rosemary designed and launched in late 2007. The survey gained worldwide interest and support in a short space of time, and over 4,000 completed surveys were lodged.
The survey, which is again live on the Net, will remain open indefinitely with the aim of it becoming the largest database of spontaneous paranormal experiences ever collated. The paranormal survey investigates ten types of phenomenon: telepathy, reincarnation, mediumship, auras, premonitions, psychokinesis, out of body experiences, near death episodes, apparitions and déjà vu. In keeping with her business background, Rosemary’s approach to the psychic realms is pragmatic and she has recently released the first Paranormal Activity Analysis Report, a free ebook which highlights the major findings of the first survey round!

In this episode of Paranormal Underground Radio, we talk with Marley Gibson, author and paranormal investigator. Marley is the author of the hit young adult paranormal fiction series, “Ghost Huntress,” from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s Graphia line. She has been a lifelong paranormal enthusiast and started conducting paranormal investigations in August 2007 as research for her “Ghost Huntress” teen fiction series. During her research, she captured some very compelling pictures, videos, and sound files. Gibson was featured on the premiere episode of The Biography Channel’s My Ghost Story, as well as being interviewed by CNN.com for a Halloween feature on ghost hunting in 2008.

In this episode of Paranormal Underground Radio, we talk with Paranormal Generation Production Manager and Co-Producer Beth Stiner and Field Researcher Justin Krogstad. We'll also be playing a few EVPs! Beth Stiner runs her own multimedia production company, Phantom Media. A number of odd personal experiences led Beth to a belief that there are still things outside of our current understanding of the natural world. When Paranormal Generation Co-Producer Curt Strutz approached her with the idea of making a more realistic ghost hunting show, she took it as an opportunity to learn more about the subject, while presenting any findings to the public.
Justin Krogstad recently became involved in paranormal investigation, though he has extensive investigative experience as a Deputy Sheriff in Wisconsin. While he considers himself a skeptic with regard to the existence of “ghosts,” he admits that this position is only taken because he has yet to personally observe evidence which may change his opinion. Using his law enforcement and psychology background, along with a firm belief in science, Justin provides team support in numerous roles as needed, and will search to find his own answers along the way.
